Smith Foundation Scholarship application is available at www.smithscholarships.com. Apply from September 29-January 15. You must be a senior with a minimum C+ average, plan to attend an Alabama college, made a significant contribution to family or community. (volunteer, community service work or assistance to your family).
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship applications are available at www.jkcf.org from September through November for seniors who plan to attend a 4-year college in the fall with at least a 3.5 unweighted gpa, financial need and standardized test scores in the top 15%. (SAT critical reading/math 1200+; ACT composite 26+) Selected students may receive up to $40,00 per year. Up to 40 applicants will be chosen.
