Information on the Court Reporting and Broadcast Captioning program at Gadsden State Community College is available in the guidance office.

Northeast Alabama Community College will offer a dual enrollment robotics class this dummer for students in grades 10-12.  The cost is $420.  Scholarships may be available to those who qualify.  For more information or to register contact Julie George at 256-228-6001 ext. 2214 or 256-638-4418 ext 2214.  Email-georgej@nacc.edu

Rising freshmen and sophomores can attend a Manufacturing Day Camp the week of June 9-13 from 9-4.  The cost of each camp is $59.  Students in grades 9-11 can explore various careers in healthcare.  Students in grades 9-12 interest in police, fire and emergency medical services can participate in Public Safety Camp.  Students in grades 8-12 interested in careers in salon & spa management can attend the Salon Institute in Scottsboro.

Information on Design Discovery, an 8-day summer workshop st Mississippi State University for students interested in design and architecture, is available in the guidance office. The cost is $595.  The workshop will be held on June 6-June 13.

Scholarships

Unified First Generation Scholarship applications for the University of Alabama are available in the guidance office for first-generation college students. Deadline: April 30, 2014. You must have at least a 3.0 gpa.

High school students whose parents work at KTH Leesburg Products we have a scholarship application for you in the guidance office. Deadline: April 30, 2014.

Alison Owen Academic Scholarship applications are due April 25 by 3:00 to the guidance office.
Heath Owen Athletic Scholarship applications are due April 25th by 3:00 in the guidance office.
Randa Owen Agriscience/FFA Scholarship applications are due April 25th by 3:00 to the guidance office.
Randa Owen JROTC scholarships are are due April 25th by 3:00 to the guidance office for JROTC students or children of members of the military. These are all available in the guidance office.

Dekalb County Cattlemen's Association scholarship applications are due April 25th. You must be a member or have a parent, grandparent or spouse who is a member of the Dekalb County Cattlemen's Association to apply. You must have at least a C average.

Fort Payne High School Athletic Booster Club scholarship applications are due April 25th. You must play a sport to apply.

Seniors: Please turn in any scholarships that you have been offered or accepted to the guidance office as soon as possible. Awards Night is May 6 at 6:30 in the gym. We cannot present scholarships if you do not tell us you received them. Thanks.

Southeastern States Pupil Transportation Conference Student Scholarship application is available in the guidance office for any senior who has a parent employed in public school transportation.  This is a $2,500 scholarship.  The parent can be a bus driver, bus aides/monitors, bus mechanics, directors of student transportation services, bus supervisors, bus driver trainers, bus safety inspectors and many other positions either employed by a schoool district, their contractors, a state school or the Alabama State Department of Education.  Deadline:  April 30, 2014.

Aspiring Fashion Professional scholarship is available at www.fashion-schools.orgDeadline:  June 1, 2014. 
This is a $1,000 scholarship. 

Aspiring Animation Professinal Scholarship is available at. www.animationcareerreview.com.  This is a $1,000 scholarship.


Information on the United Methodist Church Home's Knabe Scholarship application is available for foster children at www.umch.net.  under the tab "Our Mission and Services".    You must be accepted to the University of Alabama or the University of North Alabama before applying for the scholarship.  You must have at least a 3.0 GPA, demonstrate good moral character and demonstrate leadership skills.
